The visit to Australia of the Duke and Duchess of York begins on September 28 and will take in Canberra, Sydney, Townsville, Mount Isa, Cloncurry and Brisbane.

After her arrival in Sydney today, the Duchess will holiday privately with friends until the Duke arrives on Sunday.

The royal party will be in Sydney from September 30 to October 3.

The highlight of their visit will be the Naval Review on Saturday, October 1. But the best opportunity to see them will be at Darling Harbour at midday on Friday, September 30.
